Prasuti & Stri Roga is the Ayurvedic specialty equivalent to Obstetrics and Gynecology, dedicated to the comprehensive healthcare of women across all life stages — from menarche through pregnancy, childbirth, postnatal period, and menopause. Ayurveda provides a unique, holistic framework for women’s health through the concepts of Rituchakra (menstrual cycle), Garbhini Paricharya (antenatal care), and Sutika Paricharya (postnatal regimen).
The department manages conditions including dysmenorrhoea (Kashtartava), amenorrhoea (Anartava), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), uterine fibroids, leucorrhoea (Shweta Pradara), abnormal uterine bleeding (Rakta Pradara), infertility (Vandhyatva), menopausal syndrome, and pregnancy-related complaints using safe, evidence-based Ayurvedic interventions.
Specialized procedures including Uttarabasti (intrauterine drug administration), Yoni Pichu, Yoni Dhupana, and Yoga Basti are administered for gynecological disorders. The department has 6 dedicated female beds and collaborates with Yoga and Pranayama therapy for holistic women’s wellness. Garbhasanskar programs are also conducted for pregnant women.
